Anchorage Trail: Sky’s Stunning Senior Pictures | Louisville Senior Photographer
This is Sky, and she is a Senior at South Oldham High School, in Louisville, KY. We went to Anchorage Trail to take her picture. I had never met Sky before, but when she stepped out of the car I was taken aback by how stunningly pretty she is. What I learned quickly is that she is just, if not more, beautiful on the inside. We took these pictures, last Saturday, when we had such a welcome reprieve from the bitter cold, that we had been having, for what seems like forever! It was so nice to be outside in 68 degree warm temperatures and beautiful sunshine, finally! Do you want to know what happened the next day? It snowed! I am chomping at the bit for the warm weather to arrive and be consistent. I know I am not alone in this!
Why a Photographer Who Loves to Shoot Outside Might Embrace the Winter | Louisville Fashion Photographer
I consider myself to be a natural light photographer. I absolutely love to take pictures outside when the sun is low in the sky, throwing off beautiful sunbeams that wrap my subject in light. It’s what makes me so happy and feel alive. This winter has seemed like it will never end. I know I am not alone in feeling this way. So, while I wait for what feels like forever for it to turn warm, I decided to set up some photo shoots, to hone my craft and challenge myself in areas where I am a little out of my comfort zone. I love my studio and enjoy using the soft boxes, but for me, it can be a little tricky getting the lighting just the way I want it. So, while it snows, and sleets and dips below freezing temperatures, I will continue to practice, always have fun and get better at what I do. Thanks for stopping by!

Olivia’s Gorgeous Senior Pictures | Blackacre Farm
My photo shoot with Olivia is one of my favorite sessions, as of yet. The colors at Louisville’s Blackacre Farm were just perfect, that day, and Olivia is so easy to be around. She has a quiet presence about her, but such an easy going, sweet personality. In every Senior Photo I take, I try to capture my subject’s personality. That is very important to me.
Sweet Flower Children Fashion Shoot
This was an impromptu stylized fashion shoot we put together. I have realized that sometimes, last minute fashion shoots turn out so well! It was a cold winter day, during the children’s Christmas Break. My family’s travel plans had been cancelled so I called up each girl and asked if they were available. I already had the clothes for them to wear. Everything worked out perfectly! I love the Flower Child Theme!
